■Movement
<Origin Mode> Use the directional buttons to move the character. This is an input method called “Tank controls”, where ↑ moves forward, ↓ moves backward, and ← → rotate.
<Modern Mode> Use the left stick to move the character. This is an intuitive input method in which the character moves in the direction of the stick. If you are not good at tank controls operation, selecting this mode will make it easier to play.
In either mode, the character runs by holding the “run button”. Properly use Walk or Run as needed.

■Attacking
Press the "attack button" to attack with your current relic. There are three types of relic - naginata, magatama, and mirror. Press "switch button" to switch your currently equipped relic. Attacking with the magatama or mirror consumes aura, represented by the green meter in the upper - right corner of the screen.
<Naginata>
The attack with naginata instantly strikes a middle position in a wide area. This is a basic attack that does not require aura, can be used at any time.
<Magatama>
A low position attack that releases an aura from the magatama hitting the ground. It is a little slow until the attack effect occurs, but if you use it well, you can hit continuously. Consumes aura (* Cannot be used when there is no required amount of aura).
<Mirror>
A high position attack that releases an aura from the mirror in hand. Although the effect range is narrow, you can continuously attack by holding down the "attack button". Consumes aura (* Cannot be used when there is no required amount of aura).

■Defending
Defend against enemy attacks by pressing the "move backward button" to retreat. (If you're moving backward when an attack hits you, you'll automatically defend against it.) If you feel danger, be sure to make a habit of moving backward immediately. Defending against enemy attacks slightly recovers aura.
(* Some attacks are too powerful to be defended against.)

■Quick Turning <*This operation is only for the Origin mode.>
You can perform a quick turn by pressing and releasing the "turn button" while moving backwards. Use this to turn and face dangers approaching from behind! Because it can face behind overwhelmingly faster than rotating, it is an indispensable action for clearing the game in Origin Mode. Be sure to master it!

■Examining
Anything in the 3D game world can be examined. If something catches your eye, try moving your cursor to it — a new discovery surely awaits. If the target is important to the progress of the game or an object that may contain items, the cursor will change shape. Watch the screen carefully.
|
■Using Items
The acquired item will be added to the item column on the right side of the screen. If you want to use them, place the cursor on the item and click. Up to eight items may be held at a time.
|
■Progress Saving
There are several save points called "sacred circle" in the game, and you can save your progress by consuming save items at these locations. You can get the save item "wooden memo" at various locations during the game, but the number is limited. Be careful not to use it too much.
